Our Staycation at Wyndham I-drive

Recently, my son and I had the opportunity to stay a couple nights at the Wyndham Orlando Resort I-drive. This hotel is really in the center of it all... ICON Park is walkable, Universal is a shuttle ride away, and Disney/Seaworld are short drives. If LOCATION and budget are what you are looking for... look no further.

The rooms were spacious and clean. My son loved the bunk beds. They have lots of different room type options to make sure to scroll before you book! Each room has a mini fridge, tv, hair dryer and small essentials.

The common areas were also very nice. There was plenty of room to chat or have a drink with friends or family. They had a small office area too if you need to check email, etc. I also appreciate that there is no parking charge *cough*cough*

There are two pools and one hot tub on property. The one had a much larger shallow section than the other. Pool depths went up to 8'6"! The pool temperature was great and the water was clean. My son had a great time swimming in both pools. I also liked that the pools stayed open until 10pm.

We didn't get to try the food at Gatorville but it looked like a good spot to grab quick eats and drinks. The special while we stayed was a turkey melt and fries for $8! They also had drink specials. Breakfast was not inlcuded but they serve a pretty standard continental breakfast here ranging from $7.95 for kids to $12.95 for adults.

We did have a couple small issues while we were here but the hotel management took care of them swiftly. So thank you Wyndam for #hosting us! It was a staycation filled with lots of great memories :)
