It breaks my heart what is going on in the world right now. I just want good and joy to shine through the human spirit. We desire to keep sharing positivity with you and what better place to start than one of our favorite Epcot festivals.
Epcot's International Flower and Garden Festival is one of our favorites for many reasons. For me, it is because of the beautiful sights, smells, and weather. For my son, he can never wait to see the new play spaces Disney comes up with. Let's start with the beautiful topiaries.
Upon entrance to the park, you are greeted by Pluto amongst many wildflowers. Once you get to Spaceship Earth you must decide if you will venture right or left. Today we will take you around Epcot towards the right.
Figment welcomes visitors to Imagination Pavillion with a friendly wave.
Then Mickey and the magical broomsticks appear before heading back to the central pathway leading to the World Showcase.
The construction theme among Mickey, Minnie, Goofy and Pluto was simply ingenious with Epcot in its current state.
Donald, Daisey, Huey, Dewey, and Louie all have their garden tools ready to create their own natural masterpiece.
Kermit welcomes spring between Canada and the United Kingdom.
The cast of Winnie the Pooh stands proudly in the middle of the UK. Hook and Peter Pan topiaries are also located close to this spot.
Remy is a new addition this year (as is the dragon on the water in front of Japan) and almost points you to the sign reminding us of the Ratatouille ride opening this summer!
Belle and Beast also adorn the streets of France.
Lady and the Tramp are easy to miss so make sure you look by the gondolas.
Rafiki raises a curious baby Simba between Germany and Africa.
The family of pandas is perfectly placed right in front of the central Chinese pagoda.
The Three Caballeros are inciting a fiesta near Mexico.
Bambi, Flower, and Thumper are playing close to the temporary MouseGears location.
And last but not least, Buzz is ready to go "to infinity and beyond" in front of Mission:Space.
There are many other fun aspects of the Flower and Garden festival we'd like to share.
Violet lemonade is the signature drink of Flower and Garden. So refreshing and non-alcoholic so feel free to share with the kids (or not)!
And Joffrey's also has an assortment of cold drinks specific to the festival that can be served with or without alcohol.
This year's scavenger hunt features Spike the Bee. He's fun to find among the topiaries. The prize is one of the cutest I can remember: adorable cups that can be used as planters! We snagged the Minnie and Mickey ones.
The fun (and giant-sized) cotton candy is back in China but is only open limited hours so be sure to check if this is a high priority for you.
The outdoor spaces, made specifically for the festival, are beautiful and functional. There is extra shaded seating behind the old MouseGears. And my son loves the musical playground. This year it features a bridge and two spinning play features.
Finally, Disney is in the details so look at a couple that we found!
Even the miniature German town is celebrating the festival!
And Snow White lives in the tiny houses nearby!
We hope that Walt Disney World opens so that more can enjoy this year's Epcot Flower and Garden Festival. Our prayers go out that these hard times will soon be over and we can resume "life as usual."
Be Safe Friends.
